Respect for Life Committee

This committee meets on the first Tuesday morning of each month after the 9AM mass and rosary.  The group meets for approximately one hour to discuss life issues of the day.  God calls all of us to work toward a culture of life.  Anyone who is interested in serving Him on the Respect for Life Committee is welcome to attend the meetings.

We are part of the East Boston/Winthrop Chapter of Massachusetts Citizens for Life.  Every Father’s Day weekend the group participates in Rose Drives.  In addition to fundraising, the roses help raise awareness of legal abortion in our country.

During the month of October (Pro-Life Month) a playpen is placed in front of Our Blessed Mother’s statue so those parishioners who wish to may fill it with newborn baby items.  These items are brought to A Woman’s Concern in Revere at the end of the month.

O Mary, bright dawn of the new world, Mother of the living, to you do we entrust the cause of Life…

– Blessed John Paul II
