Confirmation perfects Baptismal grace; it is the sacrament which gives the Holy Spirit in order to root us more deeply in the divine filiation, incorporate us more firmly into Christ, strengthen our bond with the Church, associate us more closely with her mission, and help us bear witness to the Christian faith in words accompanied by deeds.

St. Michael’s Confirmation program is a two-year program* with students beginning most typically in 9th grade after completing grades 1-8 in a Religious Education Program.
All parish programs in the Archdiocese of Boston have the same requirements:  weekly Mass attendance, faith development, service to the Parish and the greater community, and a Confirmation focused retreat.
Confirmation classes are held on Sunday evenings from 5 – 7:30 PM, starting with Mass at 5 PM.
*Those attending a Catholic High School may enter in 10th grade for an amended 1-Year Confirmation program. Students will still be asked to fulfill requirements of the Confirmation II Program: Mass, classes, service projects, social events, and retreat.

By the sacrament of Confirmation, the baptized are more perfectly bound to the Church and are enriched in a special strength of the Holy Spirit.
