A word about RCIA: RCIA is the Rite
of Christian Initiation of Adults, a process by
which adults “after hearing the mystery of Christ
proclaimed, consciously and freely seek the
living God…..By God’s help they will be
strengthened spiritually during their preparation
and…..will receive the sacraments fruitfully”.
The RCIA program includes: people who were never
baptized; those baptized in another faith; and those who
were baptized Catholic but have never received the
sacraments of Eucharist or Confirmation.
If you are interested in the Catholic faith, or have a
friend or relative who may be interested in making this
journey of faith, please invite the person to contact Sister
Jane at the rectory.

Our Offertory this weekend May
28th/29th has one Intention: our regular Parish
Support Collection. Next weekend, June
4th/5th our second collection will be for the
Clergy Benefit Trust. The Clergy Funds have
supported the health and retirement needs of
the active and senior priests in the Archdiocese of Boston.
Currently, there are 752 priests who need our support. We
ask that you give generously to the priests who have devoted
their lives in service to God and the good work of our
Archdiocese. The basket will be passed twice. Thank for
your generosity
Reflection:  Those who obey the Commandments, Jesus says
in  today’s Gospel, are the ones who really  love Him.  Does
my stewardship reveal my love for Jesus?

SIXTH SUNDAY OF EASTER
First Reading: Acts 8:5-8, 14-17
Last week we heard how the Christian assembly in
Jerusalem chose seven of their number to minister to the
Greek-speaking Christians who lived there. Philip was one
of the seven. Today we find him in Samaria, about 60 miles
north of Jerusalem, fearlessly proclaiming the good news of
Jesus and experiencing astounding results.
Second Reading: 1 Peter 3:15-18
The first letter of Peter was written to Christians
whose pagan neighbors continually questioned and ridiculed
them about their faith. Since most of the Christians were
low-born or slaves, their neighbors couldn’t understand why
they were so joyful and hopeful. Today’s passage offers
pastoral advice and encouragement.

You now have the opportunity to have flowers
placed on our altar in memory of loved ones. The flower
piece will be one basket placed in front of the main altar.
The parish makes arrangements for the flowers. The name
of your loved one and the donor will be placed in the bulletin
for that weekend. The donation is $50.00. The Sundays of
Advent and Lent are excluded as flowers are not permitted
during these Liturgical seasons. Please call the rectory if
you are interested in donating flowers for a particular
weekend.
This weekend, May 28th/29th, flowers have been
placed on our altar in memory of Warren & Florence
