A word about RCIA: RCIA is the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, a process by which adults “after hearing the mystery of Christ proclaimed, consciously and freely seek the living God…..By God’s help they will be strengthened spiritually during their preparation and…..will receive the sacraments fruitfully”.  The RCIA program includes: people who were never baptized; those baptized in another faith; and those who were baptized Catholic but have never received the sacraments of Eucharist or Confirmation.
If you are interested in the Catholic faith, or have a friend or relative who may be interested in making this journey of faith, please invite the person to contact Sister Jane at the rectory.

Our Offertory this weekend, June 4th/5th, has two Intentions:  our regular Parish Support Collection and the Collection for the Clergy Benefit Trust.  The basket will be passed twice.  Next weekend, June 11th/12th, our second collection will be for the Seminarians.
The basket will be passed twice.
Today’s special collection supports the health and retirement needs of our 752 active and senior priests through the Clergy Funds of the Archdiocese of Boston.  Giving up the comfort and security of family and career to fulfill the call to priestly vocation, the diocesan priest relies on the Church’s commitment to care for him when age or health dictates.  Most priests do not have personal or familial resources to pay for health care and living expenses in their senior years, nor do they have children or spouses who will meet their needs.  The Church is their spouse and the Clergy Funds are their retirement plan.  This is why today’s special collection is so important.

“Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.”

Reflection:  In today’s Gospel, Jesus prays, “I have given You glory on earth by finishing the work You gave Me to do”.  Good stewards follow His example by using their time and talents for the glory of God.
